The 30th annual Arkansas State University Agribusiness Conference will focus on the global economy, agricultural policy and the next farm bill, the US macroeconomic situation, and commodity markets.

Morning General Sessions

The general session begins at 8:30 a.m. and features five presentations:

  • Dr. Bert Greenwalt, professor of agricultural economics and director of A-State Agribusiness Conference, provides opening remarks, followed by Dean Mickey LaTour with announcements from the College of Agriculture.
  • Harrison Pittman, director of the National Agricultural Law Center, will present a talk entitled 30th A-State Agribusiness Conference: Back to the Future.
  • President & CEO of AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Greg Cole will discuss observations on farm and agribusiness trends.
  • RiceTec's Head of Transformation & Business Development, Megan DeYoung and Chad Brewer from the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, will discuss sustainability issues for rice and cotton.
  • The Economics and Politics of the U.S. Farm Bill will be presented by Dr. Keith Coble, vice president of the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, & Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University.
