Mrs. Alma Ashabranner Stroud, who passed away April 24, 2012, served on the ASU Museum Advisory Council and was a generous friend, contributor, and lifetime member of the ASU Museum. She listed the museum as a beneficiary.

“Mrs. Alma Stroud was a long time supporter of ASU Museum,” said Marti Allen, museum director. “Her grace was widely cherished; she gave without seeking fanfare. Her generosity to us was motivated by her genuine love of the museum and its charitable and educational programs. She will be deeply missed.”

In addition to other pursuits, Mrs. Stroud studied Japanese flower arranging and was a member both of the Ikenobo Ikebana Study Group and Ikebana International. This appreciation of Japanese culture is reflected in some of the fine art and decorative items of her estate.

Photographs of sale items may be viewed Tuesday, July 10, at roydudleyestatesales.com. Lalique, Steuben, Wedgwood, Cybis, cloisonné, works by Edna Hibel and bronze vessels among other quality items are designated by Mrs. Stroud to benefit ASU Museum.
