Dr. Jeong has joined a member of the faculty at ASU in 2010 and currently serves as Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.  He is also working on renewable energy systems at the CESUR (Center for Efficient and Sustainable Use of Resources).  Dr. Jeong carried out R&D at Energy Research Center of Lehigh University from 2006 to 2010.  He also has significant experience in power industry as senior member of technical staff.  He worked for KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) from 1996 to 2006.  His professional interests are in engineering design and development for full-scale fuel and energy systems using computational and experimental techniques with expertise of combustion, reaction, heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, separation and phase change.

Dr. Jeong recently completed two DOE projects including a) Novel Sorption Enhanced Reaction Process for Simultaneous Production of CO2 and H2 from Synthesis Gas Produced by Coal Gasification and b) Heat and Water Recovery from Power Plant.  His current research is entitled Development of Advanced Heat Transfer Fluid for Solar Power Plant Applications.  Dr. Jeong received 2011 Research Development Institute (RDI) Fellowship from Arkansas State University in 2011.  He was selected as the Student of Dean of P. C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University in 2006.  He was trained to be a Six Sigma Black Belt from Quality Institute of America in 2002 to use statistics in engineering.  He received the Presidential Award for Distinguished Technology Commercialization from KEPCO in 1999.
