Arkansas State’s Small Business and Technology Development Center to Offer “How to Create a Winning Marketing Plan” Workshop in Batesville

02/04/2013

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Arkansas State University is teaming with the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce to present a “How to Write a Winning Marketing Plan” seminar Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 409 Vine Street in Batesville.

The purpose of the workshop is to share innovative and easy-to-master tools that small business owners can use for little or no cost to improve marketing messages and help businesses grow. The workshop will be from 1-4 p.m.

“Eighty-nine of small business owners say that marketing is the top priority for their success, yet 73 percent admit they do not have any type of marketing plan,” stated Herb Lawrence, ASU SBTDC director. “The challenge for most of these small businesses is that they feel that they lack the resources, time, or knowledge to create such a plan.

“In this workshop, we will show small business owners how to create and use a plan that will actually save them time, use existing resources more effectively, and help them reach new customers to improve their bottom line”.

Lawrence continued by saying a simple marketing plan will help small businesses learn how to focus on their very best customers, how to locate them, communicate with them, and drive more sales to business with less effort.
In this three-hour workshop, attendees will receive the tools they need and the resources to create a plan that will significantly improve marketing efforts and bring more customers to the business.

Cost is $35 per person. The fee is $25 for Batesville Chamber of Commerce members.  Register for the workshop by calling the Batesville Chamber of Commerce at (870) 793-2378 or e-mail registration to Mandi Curtwright, officemanager@mybatesville.org.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Citizens Bank, First Community Bank, Liberty Bank of Arkansas and Merchant and Planters Bank.
