Department: Disaster Preparedness and Emergency ManagementAn Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management with an emphasis in Emergency Medical Technician is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to respond to emergencies and disasters in a variety of settings. Students successfully completing this program, with a grade of C or better in all courses, will be eligible to write the National Registry examination to become a licensed EMS provider. All courses integrate lecture and lab in a seamless fashion. Clinical and field experiences are at medical centers, specialty clinics or hospitals and ambulance services.
