College Mission

The mission of the College of Nursing and Health Professions is to provide quality education to students, graduates and health care providers in a variety of health disciplines.  Recognizing its unique position in the lower Mississippi Delta region, the College provides educational programs that are designed to promote lifelong learning based on the expressed needs of its varied constituencies.  The College assesses the attainment of this mission in terms of the contributions its graduates make to health care in the Delta region and beyond.

Each of our degree programs have a moderate to very high market demand which generates much student interest. The college is clinically affiliated with over 500 health facilities across the region including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, public schools, outpatient facilities, sports health agencies, extended care facilities, private practice clinics, industrial settings, wellness clinics, health maintenance organizations and government agencies

All of our programs have specific admission criteria for entry, are nationally accredited, and contain both classroom and clinical course work as requirements for the degree.
