Welcome to Arkansas State University!

Office of Global Initiatives

International Student at ASU

The Office of Global Initiatives promotes A-STATE’S international prominence, bringing the university’s research, scholarship, art, education and service programs to the world and bringing the world to A-STATE. In cooperation with the university’s colleges, we support and advance their efforts to create international academic and research partnerships as well as study abroad opportunities for A-STATE students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES

Located in the Office of the Provost, the Office of Global Initiatives supervises a system of support that advances the university’s academic mission by fostering research and other partnerships, recruiting international students, and developing opportunities for A-STATE students to study, conduct research, work in internships and engage in service-based learning abroad.

INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

A-STATE has a strong tradition of establishing international partnerships. Across the university, individual departments, programs and scholars also join forces with governments, businesses, communities and other institutions of higher learning around the world to develop teaching and research programs addressing global problems.

The Office of Global Initiatives provides support to A-STATE colleges and departments that wish to pursue international partnerships through Memoranda of Understanding or other means.
