China, brings the history, geography, and culture of this ancient civilization to your classroom. ASU alumna, Cassandra Scott, traveled to China and developed lesson plans that correlate with Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks and utilize hands-on objects from her travels throughout the country. Through games, creative writing, and other hands-on activities, students will gain a better understanding of China-a country with increasing importance to America and the world.
The China Traveling Suitcase Exhibition is in formative evaluation (test phase) and all input from educators is welcome. Lesson plans will be posted with the corresponding Frameworks after evaluation is complete. For current versions of the lesson plans, please email Jill Kary at jkary@astate.edu.
