A-State Will Open at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15

Arkansas State University will open at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Commuter students should review the Provost’s Inclement Weather Policy and use good judgment in deciding whether to drive to campus.

A-State Dining Services and all Student Union retail stations will open at 10 a.m. and continue under normal operating hours.

Wednesday’s performance of Animal Farm has been tentatively rescheduled for Thursday night. Contact the Fowler Center for more information.

Homecoming Court and Friday concert artist revealed. DJ King Vick will be playing all your favorite 90s hits to kick off Homecoming Week! A-State students, don’t forget to pick up a Homecoming shirt at this event!

 

 Door Decorating Competition 

 

Monday, October 29 to Friday, November 2

 

Competition between offices in the Student Union. Door decorating begins on Monday, October 29. Judging will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, November 2.

 

 Food N The Pantry

 

Tuesday, October 30 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, first floor Student Union

 

Donations will benefit the A-State Food Pantry. Awards will be given to the organization/individual with most pounds of food donated. Bonus points given for donating high need items.

 

 Lip Sync Battle

 

Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 pm in Centennial Hall, third floor Student Union

 

1st, 2nd, 3rd place and People’s Choice awards will be presented. Winners of food drive competition will be announced. Doors open at 5 PM. Come to watch or participate! Props and costumes highly encouraged. Doors open at 5:00 pm.

 

 90's Movie Night

 

Wednesday, October 31 at 8:00 pm on the Student Union Lawn

 

Come out and watch Scream! Popcorn will be provided.

 

 Yell Like Hell Bonfire and Spirit Competition 

 

Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 pm at University Loop and Honors Avenue (Grassy area beside Sigma Pi Fraternity House)

 

Spirit competition, bonfire, DJ King Vick, and food trucks! Come to watch or compete. Food free to A-State Students with valid Student ID. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards will be presented. 

 

 A-State Homecoming Parade

 

Friday, November 2 at 6:00 pm, on-campus route

 

Participate or watch from the on-campus route! Please see the A-State Homecoming Packet for parade route information. Participation is not limited to floats--walk the route or decorate your vehicle! Various awards will be presented. 

 

 Homecoming Concert

 

Friday, November 2 at 9:00 pm

 

We will reveal the secret 90's artist at the Mambo No. 5 Karaoke Dance Party on Monday! Entry will be free to all A-State Students with valid Student ID.
