Conditional Admission Requirements

Applicants who do not qualify for unconditional admission may apply for a conditional admission.

• Complete online application and submit a nonrefundable $30 fee.
• Official transcript(s) sent from the registrar of the college/university attended. Official transcripts are sealed transcripts sent from the sending institution.
• A valid teaching certificate
• No record as a felon or sex offender
• Meet one of the following academic requirements:
  1. Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or
  2. Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale and 2.75 GPA on the last 60 hours (admission with this GPA is contingent on a letter of recommendation from the school superintendent or principal), or
  3. Have at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) from a graduate school from an accredited university.
• Conditional admission requires that the candidate make a grade of B or better during the first twelve hours of graduate work at Arkansas State University.
