I study the nesting ecology and behavior of suburban Red-shouldered Hawks in Cincinnati, Ohio. For my Master’s thesis I installed 24-hour color-infrared video cameras at hawk nests to study egg-laying behavior and nestling feeding & aggression behavior. I spent two Spring semesters in Ohio locating nests and climbing trees to install video cameras and mark young nestlings. I've spent the Fall semesters here at ASU taking classes and watching all that video, and will soon begin analyzing and writing. I loved sharing my research with the Cincinnatians and look forward to sharing it with local Arkansans!
