ROTC's 3rd Annual Howler Run is Saturday, Sept. 26

Arkansas State University ROTC and the Department of Military Science are hosting the third annual Howler Run on Saturday, Sept. 26. This fundraiser for the A-State ROTC program is a run of about seven miles, with 20 or more obstacles. The Military Science Building is the starting point for the race and the first team will start at 1 p.m.

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University ROTC and the Department of Military Science are hosting the third annual Howler Run on Saturday, Sept. 26.

This fundraiser for the A-State ROTC program is a run of about seven miles, with 20 or more obstacles. The Military Science Building is the starting point for the race and the first team will start at 1 p.m.

ROTC faculty member Lt. Joshua Goodon commented, “This is a great team building opportunity for programs as well as great competition for students.”

Anyone can participate in the race in teams of five for a fee of $100 per group or $25 per person for those who choose to participate individually. Payments can be made by credit card online at AState.edu/Howler or by dropping the payment off at the Military Science Building between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Runners must turn in a signed liability waiver, which can be downloaded from the Howler web site, prior to entrance into the race. To register, one may contact David Hastings at (870) 972-2064 or dhastings@AState.edu.
