Pi Kappa Alpha Excels in Recruitment 2015
The Arkansas State University chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is currently ranked sixth of the top 25 Pike chapters in recruitment. The Delta Theta chapter at A-State has 71 new members and 57 initiates.
The chapter was among those recognized for recruiting achievement in “Shield & Diamond,” the national Pike magazine.
The Pi Kappa Alpha president at Arkansas State, Drew Short, said, “Pike’s recruitment philosophy is simple, it's the art of making friends. If the entire recruitment process is taken on with the mindset of showing sincerity and friendliness, any fraternity can have a successful recruitment. With the zealous members we have recruited into our fraternity in recent years with this philosophy, I am confident in the direction that they are headed and anxious to see the success that they will bring in next year's recruitment."
This is the best recruitment for the chapter in over 20 years, beating their 1988-89 total of 54 initiates. Arkansas State is the home chapter of the International Pike president, John Bobango.
