Why did you choose A-State?
I chose A-State because I moved back to Arkansas in 2014, made Jonesboro my home and this wonderful opportunity presented itself. I am blessed and thankful to be here.
What makes a good professor?
Someone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subjects being taught.
Who was your favorite teacher (and why)?
Elizabeth Ivener. She was so personable, approachable and knowledgeable.
What makes for a good student?
Someone engaged; Dedication.
What’s the value of a university education?
Priceless
Your philosophy on education in seven words:
You get out what you put in.
If you could teach another field, which one and why?
I wouldn’t. I love nutrition.
What is the one thing you wish you could teach everyone about your field?
It’s more than just food.
What are you working on right now?
Learning more about Arkansas State University and getting to know my colleagues.

travel more.

XM radio, I really mix it up.

enjoy it more. Time flies.

spending time with all my family on the farm.
What I like about Jonesboro is...
the people are friendly and it is close to where I grew up. It is a big/small town. Jonesboro is my new home. I love living in the South.

Dog. I have a new puppy named Blue.

Dinner or supper?
To me, dinner is the third meal of the day. I grew up with lunch, the second meal, called dinner and the third meal called supper.
