Department of Music to Present Student Honors Recital

JONESBORO – The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present its annual Student Honors Recital on Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall, 201 Olympic Dr.

A panel of judges representing the music faculty selects the students who will perform on the recital program.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Selections to be performed are “Mudra” by Bob Becker, “Sonata No. 26” By W.A. Mozart, “Non so piu cosa son” from “Le Nozze di Figaro” by W.A. Mozart, “Etude Op. 25, No. 1 in A-flat minor” by Frederic Chopin, “Concerto for Double Bass” by Antonio Capuzzi, “Concerto” by Ingold Dahl, “Tu che di gel Sei Cinta” from “Turandot” by Giacomo Puccini, and “Scherzo No. 1 in B flat minor” by Frederic Chopin.

Students to be performing are Addison Boling from Jonesboro, percussion, Trent Duff from Pocahontas, percussion, Carlos Serna from Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico, percussion, Garrett Tyler from Jonesboro, percussion, Tyler Worsham from Keiser, percussion, Hannah Todd from Mountain Home, violin, Cori Beasley from Gilmer, Texas, mezzo-soprano, Yuta Nishimura from Kanagana, Japan, piano, Cody Huchinson from Jonesboro, euphonium, Aaron Decker from Jonesboro, saxophone, Michelle Byrd from Pine Bluff, soprano, and Barrett Kelley from Walnut Ridge, piano.
