ASU SBTDC to offer Business Financing Options seminar

JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State University’s Small Business and Technology Development
Center (SBTDC), Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Jonesboro Association
will co-host a workshop for small businesses Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the ASU Delta Center
for Economic Development, 319 University Loop Circle, Room 110. The workshop will
be from 6-8:30 p.m.
The seminar, “Business Financing Options: How to Find Capital to Start or Expand Your
Business,” will be conducted by Robert Bahn, business consultant at the ASU SBTDC.
The seminar is designed to show attendees how to use a variety of options in finding
financing for business ventures.
“Getting the financing you need is never an easy task for a small business,” said
Herb Lawrence, ASU SBTDC director. “In today’s challenging economic times, it can
be even more difficult. But funding can be found if the entrepreneur knows where to
look.”
At the seminar the speaker will discuss sources of capital for small businesses,
alternative and participating lenders, how to develop a funding request, information
about the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) guaranty loan programs, information
on several new SBA programs, the truth about grants and more.
Registration is $35 per person ($25 for chamber and association members and $20 for
