Night & Evening Classes Canceled Due to Winter Precipitation

Arkansas State University is canceling night and evening classes today, Nov. 14, due to winter precipitation. All academic events, including A-State Theatre, are canceled.

This closure also applies to our Paragould location.

While offices are closed and classes are canceled, university residential life areas continue to operate to support the on-campus student population.

The Red W.O.L.F. Center will close today at 8 p.m.

Everyone in the A-State Community is encouraged to review the Provost’s Inclement Weather Policy for questions regarding university operations during inclement weather.

Alumni and Former Dean of Education and Behavioral Science Honored


Education and Behavioral Science Honorees
JONESBORO – Six outstanding alumni and a former dean of education at Arkansas State University were honored during the College of Education and Behavioral Science's homecoming celebration, Friday, Oct. 2.

The honorees were (from left) James Dunivan, superintendent of the Nettleton School District, Paige Higgins-Lawson of Heber Springs, hospitalist with Baptist Health in Heber Springs, Shelvy Haywood Keglar of Indianapolis, founder and president of Midwest Psychological Center, Inc., Dr. Vance Sales, former dean and faculty member, Jo Ann Nalley, director of the Department of Childhood Services at A-State, and Terry Mohajir, director of Intercollegiate Athletics at A-State. Alex Carrington, professional football player for the Buffalo Bills, was unable to attend.
