All-Region Percussion Clinic is Saturday, Sept. 23

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University will host the 2017 A-State Percussion Clinic Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Fine Arts Center (GPS, 2412 Quapaw Way).

There is no cost to students or directors to attend. This clinic will offer practical and helpful suggestions for performing the snare drum, timpani and keyboard portions of the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association Senior High All-State and All-Region audition music.

Those who attend will receive individual and group instruction from Craig Collison, associate professor of percussion, and A-State percussion students.

While participants are encouraged to play as part of the clinic, it is not required. Also, students do not need to bring percussion instruments, but are encouraged to bring their sticks and mallets.
