A-State Remembers Dr. Stanley Williams, Emeritus Professor and Vice President

JONESBORO -- The Arkansas State University community remembers Dr. Stanley Williams, emeritus professor of education, and emeritus vice president for finance, planning and administration, who died July 23. 

The clock tower of the Dean B. Ellis Library will be lighted scarlet Monday evening, Aug. 3, as a memorial tribute to the professor and administrator.

Williams came to Arkansas State University in 1972, serving as an assistant professor, director of institutional research, and associate vice president for institutional research and planning, before retiring as vice president for finance, planning and administration. Williams was listed as one of the top 100 administrators in Arkansas State's history during the university’s centennial celebration in 2010.

His daughter, the late Lori Fenner, was a longtime employee in the College of Agriculture, and his son-in-law, Starr Fenner, was an A-State staff member for many years.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, in the Dillard Homestead Cemetery in Bonnerdale/Crossroad. His obituary is online.
