Welcome to Arkansas State University!

Transition Studies

IMG_0904.JPG

Transition Studies provides a warm and supportive environment for a successful transition to the University and is the academic home for students whose test scores and high school grade-point average indicate that they should be admitted to the university but do not meet the requirements for unconditional admission to Arkansas State.

Housed in the Learning Commons in the Ellis Library, TS students have easy access to the writing center, general education tutoring as well as intensive advising services provided by the faculty/academic coaches and staff of the Transition Studies department.

Admission Criteria Through Transition Studies

Students may be admitted to A-State through Transition Studies if they have a composite score on the ACT or an equivalent score on SAT or Asset below a 19 and/or a minimum high school grade point average below a 3.0.
