Bring your dog and take a walk or jog through campus on Saturday, September 11. Check in is from 7-7:45am at the Pavilion west of Centennial Stadium, north of the pond, the walk/fun run begins at 8:00am. The first 100 humans registered receive a t-shirt and the first 50 canines registered receive a doggie bandana!
A pair of Arkansas State University students have been selected as recipients of the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The winners are Allison Shands of Cave City and Brenna Cannon of Mountain Home. The Gilman Scholarship provides funding to students who wish to study or intern abroad.
Cannon said, "Receiving the Gilman Scholarship will make my dreams of traveling abroad come true. I am so honored to receive this scholarship and I cannot wait to take advantage of all Australia has to offer. Studying abroad during college is a great way to experience new cultures while learning from diverse environments. College is a great time to step out of your comfort zone and study abroad.”

October 23, 2020 Congratulations to Dr. Newman's Meat Science Class for completing a two-day course on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, or HACCP.
HACCP is an advanced management system designed to analyze and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material to finished products.
Drs. Newman and Latour along with Corey Readnour completed the HACCP training course and look forward to working with students following a $500,000 grant to make improvements to our Meat Laboratory.

The A-State Regional Farmers' Market is a non-profit entity for the purpose of developing and operating a locally owned and operated farmers' market in Jonesboro and the surrounding area.
