Recognizing the challenges related to the pandemic, a list of resources to assist students coping with COVID-19 will be available on the Dean of Students website by August 1. Along with addressing the specific challenges of students infected, the resource will be developed to assist students coping with a family member infected with COVID-19 or issues related to campus life modifications due to pandemic response.
Campus Isolation and Quarantine
University Housing has identified room assignments for isolation and quarantine as needed during the academic semester. Students will be provided a detailed “what to bring” list to aid preparations for living on campus. This list will be available on the University Housing website by July 1 and emailed to each resident prior to arrival.
To align with expanded schedule of move in dates, Welcome Week will be extended and include a blend of virtual and face-to-face activities. The finalized schedule of events will be posted on the university calendar by July 27.
To assist with physical distancing and other COVID-19 awareness, Registered Student Organizations will be asked to submit event notifications to the Leadership Center prior to hosting any event. This information will be used for review and approval by appropriate university personnel. Upon university approval, Leadership Center staff will continue to assist RSOs with their COVID-19 compliance.
Reng Student Union
Reng Student Union operations will be modified to comply with current state and federal guidance related to indoor meeting spaces. Traffic flows within the building as well as furniture placement will be changed and monitored.
Red W.O.L.F. Center
The Red W.O.L.F. Center has enacted state of Arkansas’ guidelines related to gymnasiums and workout facilities.
For the upcoming academic year, Greek Life will be modified to accommodate recommendations from national organizations. Greek recruitment will offer a blend of virtual and face-to-face events. Each chapter will submit event notifications to ensure activities are compliant with university guidelines.
On-campus student events will move toward compliance with physical distancing requirements and offer more virtual events as well as modified face-to-face events.
