Department: Art + DesignThe BS Digital Technology and Design with an emphasis in Web Development will prepare students with relevant and current web technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JS Functions and Objects, the Document Object Model, Python, MySQL, popular content management systems, and web frameworks, etc.
Other topics include mobile web application development, responsive design, accessibility, and user-centered design. After pursuing this degree students will be experts in creating a Web Development portfolio to demonstrate proficiency in backend technologies. These courses can prepare students to launch a successful career as front-end and/or back-end developers in a fast-growing career field.
Additionally, opportunities to combine Web Design courses could provide students with the skills to become full stack web developers.
