For current information, visit ASU Philosophy Clubʼs Facebook page

Philosophy Club provides a forum for the discussion of various philosophical issues. In past meetings, we've discussed the nature of consciousness, the possibility and implications of machine intelligence, the definition of lying, the ethics of eating meat, and feminist epistemology.

Philosophy Club is open to discuss any philosophical issue that its members express interest in. These issues may arise from non-philosophy classes (such as the ethics of animal and human experimentation in science, for instance) or be issues that stem from discussion in any of our various philosophy classes.

Non-philosophy majors are absolutely welcome to join the discussion, and there is no commitment in attending! And even better, philosophy club is free---there are no membership dues!

Philosophy Club typically meets twice a month. Email Dr. Michele Merritt or Dr. Jacob Caton to receive email notifications of meeting times and places.
