Lark’s nursing education began with completion of a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2010 from Arkansas State University. While a student at ASU she was heavily involved on campus and received the prestigious Distinguished Service Award, given to very few graduating seniors. Following graduation she began work as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. In 2015 she received her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after completion of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Upon graduation, Lark, obtained her board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Since 2015 she has worked as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Her practice specialties include critical care, cardiology, and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery. In 2019 she accepted a full time position at Arkansas State University as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. Lark currently teaches in the MSN program and is developing an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse practitioner program option. In addition to her full time academic position, she continues to work in clinical practice. Lark is happily married, has one daughter and one step son.
