Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2023

Event Information: Please accept this invitation to the Fourth Annual Diversity Conference. Join St. Bernards Healthcare, Arkansas State University Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at NYITCOM at A-State on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 8:30 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the A-State Cooper Alumni Center. The conference theme is “Courageous Conversations for Social Action."  The conference will offer tools to assist with the advancement of DEI within organizations through courageous conversations. Kristie Tobias, national speaker, and consultant, with an expertise in leadership and organizational change, will serve as the Keynote speaker.

New this year, we will host a conference pre-session for individuals at the beginning and intermediate level who want to engage in courageous conversations about everyday DEI issues and work through DEI case studies. This pre-conference will prepare individuals to engage during the conference on a deeper level. The pre-conference session will occur on Thursday, June 8, 1:30 P.M.-3:30 P.M. via zoom.

What is the Registration fee? Registration is $40 to help cover the cost of speaker fees, technology and digital equipment, graphic design and other administrative expenses.

Can I get Continuing Education Credits? Nurses and Physicians will be eligible to receive CEUs. Social workers and educators will receive certificates indicating their attendance. These certificates can be used by attendees to apply for professional development credit through the appropriate granting agency.

Encompass Health-St. Bernards Joint Venture of Jonesboro is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

St. Bernards Medical Center is accredited by the Louisiana State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
