Something for the Whole Family

A-State's Family Weekend will be held September 20-22, 2019. Campus will be bustling with athletic events, entertainment options and other special events. For questions about Family Weekend, contact the Leadership Center at 870-972-2055.

Schedule of Events
Friday, September 20
6am-10pm - Family Fun, Red WOLF Recreation Center

Visit the Recreation and Wellness Center to enjoy A-State’s indoor track, basketball courts, group fitness classes and more. Admission is free for A-State families on this date.

6pm-7pm - Family Photos, #WeHowl Sculpture

Stop by the #WeHowl sculpture outside the Administration Building for a complimentary picture of your pack!

7pm-9pm - Family Movie Night, Reng Student Union Auditorium

Residence Life will host A-State students and their families for a showing of Toy Story 4 with free popcorn and treats. Admission is free for A-State families.


Select Downtown Jonesboro businesses will be running specials to A-State students and their families on Friday night, so take a stroll down Main Street to see what is being offered!

Saturday, September 21
7am-1pm - ASU Regional Farmers Market, 3350 Aggie Road

Stop by the Farmers’ Market to grab some fresh produce, pastries, and other locally produced items.

8am-10pm - Family Fun, Red WOLF Recreation Center

Visit the Recreation and Wellness Center to enjoy A-State’s indoor track, basketball courts, group fitness classes and more. Admission is free for A-State families on this date.

8am - GameDay 5K with Dr. Damphousse, Begins at Wolf Statue on Aggie Road

This traditional fun run/walk led by Dr. Kelly Damphousse will take you through the beautiful campus of Arkansas State to get you pumped for game day. This event is free. No registration required.

10am-2pm - A-State Bookstore, Reng Student Union

Show your valid A-State student ID for 25% Family Weekend discount on all gifts and apparel!

10am-5pm - ASU Museum, Dean B. Ellis Library

The ASU Museum features displays about the region's natural history and cultural heritage. Admission is free and open to the public.

11am-1pm - Family Picnic, Chancellor's Residence (1503 E Nettleton Ave)

Dr. and Mrs. Damphousse invite Red Wolf families to their home for a fun-filled afternoon! Enjoy complimentary pre-game food, family fun activities, and lots of giveaways.

12pm-5pm - Bradbury Art Museum, Fowler Center

The BAM houses contemporary art, photography, and exhibitions. Admission is free and open to the public.

1pm - A-State Rugby vs. Little Rock Men's Club, Curt Huckaby Field

Cheer on the Rugby Red Wolves! Admission is free and open to the public.

3:45pm - Red Wolf Walk, First Community Bank Tailgate Community 

Catch a glimpse of the A-State football players and coaches as they enter Centennial Bank Stadium.

Immediately following Red Wolf Walk, head over to the Artents Tailgate Promenade for the Hijinx Game Night Reinvented Family Fun Zone, activities for the whole family & live music from the Eli Adams Band!

6pm - A-State Football vs. SIU, Centennial Bank Stadium

Put your wolves up for the Red Wolves! Ticket or A-State student ID required.

Sunday, September 22
Noon-10pm - Family Fun, Red WOLF Recreation Center

Visit the Recreation and Wellness Center to enjoy A-State’s indoor track, basketball courts, group fitness classes and more. Admission is free for A-State families on this date.

10:30am-2pm - Brunch at the Acansa Dining Hall

Close out the weekend by checking out A-State’s newly remodeled dining hall for an all-you-care-to-eat brunch! Student meal plans, flex, cash, or credit card accepted.


Family Weekend Picnic

Visit with Dr. D and Mrs. Beth at the Chancellor's residence on Saturday, September 21 from 11am-1pm for a family picnic complete with food, crafts, a petting zoo, and more!
