In the list where your name appears, select your name to access your profile. Your profile appears with some information, and you can't delete your profile. Students can edit certain parts of their profile.
Name and Email Changes
Students cannot change their name or email address in Blackboard. The Name displayed in Blackboard reflects what is in Banner. Official Name and Email changes are processed through the Registrar's office.

Password Changes
Students can update their Blackboard password at https://webapps.astate.edu/digitalid/index.htm.
How to add/update a Profile Picture
Students can add a personal profile picture.
On the Profile page.
- Point to the generic silhouette or your picture and select the pencil icon to upload, change, or remove an image.
- In the panel, select Upload new profile picture to browse for your picture on your computer. Or, you can drag a file to the Upload area. Your image is saved automatically.
- Close the panel to return to your profile.
About notification settings
The notification system is always on. On your activity stream's Notification Settings panel, you can choose which notifications you receive about activity in all your Original and Ultra courses:
Activity stream: Choose which activities appear on your Stream page.
Email: Students will receive a daily digest type email will new activity from their currenty courses.
Push notifications: Messages pop up on your mobile device if you have the Blackboard app for students installed. You can select which notifications are sent to your device.
Note: If you are not receiving Notifications from Blackboard, 1) check your junk mail and 2) check that you do have the email address "do-not-reply@blackboard.com" blocked in your email. See the Proofpoint User Guide for information about blocked senders.
