The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning staff provides faculty support and training for Blackboard Learn, including assistance with digitizing, updating or creating course content in formats suitable for use in Blackboard Learn.
The A-State Online Faculty Support provides faculty support and training for the A-State Online Services programs.
Course merges are completed using the Blackboard Utility Package. Only the instructor of record in Banner can merge courses in the Utility Package.

All Instructor and Student course enrollments are managed in the SIS System - Banner.
The Instructor will need to contact their department Administrative Assistant to request any additional Instructors or Graduate/Teaching Assistants to be added to their course. The departments will then work with the Registrar’s office to approve and set up the enrollment.

A-State does not allow guests or observers into live courses.
Per the Registrar’s office, permission must be obtained by the Department Chair or the College Dean and the Registrar to add instructors to previously taught courses as it could alter academic record. Instructors will need to send an email to their Chair or Dean, the Registrar and blackboard@astate.edu making the request. Once permissions have been granted by the Chair/Dean and the Registrar, Blackboard support will enroll the instructor.
The accounts cannot be combined. Your student registration is under your student account in Banner.
You will need to activate your student email account for your course registration to move from Banner into Blackboard. For assistance with activating your student email account, contact the Help Desk.
Your student Blackboard account will be created approximately 24 hours after your student email is activated.
If you are not receiving emails or Notifications from Blackboard, they may not be getting to your email's inbox.
