Blackboard Organizations are designed to be used by academic groups not connected to Banner, such as study groups or committees, or by non-academic groups, such as clubs and teams. Organizations behave like courses and contain tools that enable members to communicate efficiently. You can post information, have discussions, and share documents. Organizations are also an ideal place to connect with other users with whom you share interests or extra-curricular activities.
Arkansas State student organizations, faculty, or staff interested in having a Blackboard Organization (a course-like space in Blackboard) are invited to do so by completing an electronic request form on the EasyVista support site.
The request must be made by an A-State faculty and staff member and they must provide an A-State faculty or staff email address when requesting the creation of an organization. Student organizations may submit requests through the faculty, staff, or administrator who sponsors the organization
You can expect a response within 2 business days. Requests sent over the weekend will be responded to on Monday.
Once the Organization is created, the A-State faculty or staff member will be notified by email and they will be able to access it through Blackboard.
