Originally from Kennett, Missouri, Rod began instructing accounting courses in the Fall of 2010. His professional experience includes six years in public accounting, and several years as a Financial Analyst at the Corporate Headquarters of Baptist Memorial Health Care Systems and W.R. Grace & Co. (both in Memphis, Tennessee). Most recently, he was employed for 19 years as a Plant Controller for a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Companies.

Rod has served as the President of the Memphis Chapter of The Planning Forum, the President of the Northeast Arkansas Existing Industries Association, a Board Member of the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Member of the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
