Biography
Originally from Kennett, Missouri, Rod began instructing accounting courses in the Fall Semester of 2010. His professional experience includes six years in public accounting and several years as a Financial Analyst at the Corporate Headquarters of Baptist Memorial Health Care Systems and W.R. Grace & Co. (both in Memphis, Tennessee). In addition, he was employed for 18+ years as a Plant Controller for a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Companies.
As a student at AState, Rod was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, holding several leadership positions. Since graduation, he has been an ongoing member of the Chapter’s Housing Corporation and Alumni Association. Currently, he actively assists in coordinating and hosting ATO Alumni Tailgate functions at AState Home Football Games.
Rod has served as the President of the Memphis Chapter of The Planning Forum, the President of the Northeast Arkansas Existing Industries Association, a Board Member of the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Member of the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
