Employees working for the university under the provisions
of a federal grant are required to agree to abide by this policy and to
notify the President's Office within five (5) days of any criminal drug
statute conviction for a violation occurring in connection with their
employment.
The provisions of this policy are
designed to comply with rules published by the federal Office of
Management and Budget on January 13, 1989, implementing the Drug-Free
Workplace Act of 1988, and rules published by the federal Department of
Education on August 16, 1990, implementing the Drug-Free Schools and
Communities Act Amendments of 1989.
