A-State Closing at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 4

Arkansas State University will be closing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 due to incoming winter weather. This includes the main campus at Jonesboro and the Paragould center.

For the convenience of students, faculty/staff and the community:
  • The Acansa Dining Hall will be open until 8 p.m.
  • The Red Wolf Center will close at 3 p.m.
  • The Dean B. Ellis Library will close at 1 p.m.
  • GradStock has been rescheduled to March 9, from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Cooper Alumni Center.
  • The Testing Center will close at 1 p.m.
  • Tonight's performance of "12 Angry Men" has been cancelled. Contact the Box Office for refund information.
  • NEA Science Fair has been postponed to March 16 at Hames Room, Convocation Center.
  • Communications Day (March 7) has been cancelled.

The university reminds students to monitor their official Arkansas State student email account for information regarding classes, as explained in an announcement from Provost Lynita Cooksey.

The ASTATE OneCard

It's not only your ID card, but it's also a Discover® pre-paid debit card.

So what does this mean for you?

It allows you to receive your refunds from ASU directly to your OneCard! This account makes it easy and safe for you to gain fast and convenient access to your funds.

But that's not all, the OneCard continues to be your campus funds option as well to use at all campus retail locations for discounts and incentives, you will also continue to use your OneCard at all participating Express Dollars locations.

Who can get one?

Students must be enrolled in classes and provide proper identification such as a drivers license, state ID or passport to obtain the OneCard. It is a nontransferable ID card, only the cardholder may present the OneCard for purchases, access, and other privileges.

Cost

The first ASTATE OneCard issued to a student is free. There is a $20 replacement fee for damaged, lost or stolen cards.
Proper identification such as a drivers license, state ID or passport is required to obtain a OneCard.

By refunding your excess financial aid to your OneCard, you receive your money faster while maintaining the flexibility that the OneCard program offers.

Set up your DIRECT DEPOSIT!!

Students may set up and change direct deposit information online for excess financial aid and other student related refunds.  Failure to complete the new process may delay your refund.  Login to Banner Self Service and activate your direct deposit today!
