Red Wolf Sports Shooting Club claims victory; Harper captures individual championship

JONESBORO, AR – Jordan Harper won five individual medals and Arkansas State’s sports shooting club’s Red Squad captured the overall team championship at the Red Wolf Shootout trapshooting competition last weekend at the Harrisburg Trapshooting Club.

Harper, a student from Harrisburg, picked up wins in the American Singles Trap (200), the Doubles (25 pairs), the overall individual winner’s medal, an award as part of the ASU team 200 Singles and an award as part of the overall team victory.

“Jordan did an outstanding job as did all of the members of the team,” said Dr. Gauri-Shankar Guha, team advisor and manager. “I am very proud of the squad and their efforts. It was a great event.”

Other teams competing with ASU’s Red Squad were the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, University of the Ozarks, Ecclesia College and University of Arkansas-Hope.

            Runner-up — Forrest Jones of Marion, ASU
