JONESBORO — Arkansas State University’s recreation and intramurals program is hosting a Community College Flag Football Tournament, Wednesday, Oct. 5. The tournament is at the A-State Intramural Complex, 401 Red Wolf Trail. Play gets underway at 2:30 p.m.

The community colleges that are attending include Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville, Arkansas State University Mid-South in West Memphis, East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City and Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas with campuses in Stuttgart, Helena-West Helena and DeWitt.

“This should be a great time for all involved,” said Matt Huckaby, executive director of Student Health and Wellness. “Carol Cummings, director of Campus Recreation, and Andrew Hooper, A-State’s new Intramurals Coordinator have done an excellent job facilitating this.”

Huckaby said Arkansas State Campus Recreation will host similar community college intramural tournaments for basketball and volleyball.
