Admission for International Graduate Students

Current Graduate Bulletin

All Applicants MUST

  • Complete the International Student Application Form
  • Pay $40 Application Fee for ESL, Undergraduate, and Master’s programs, $50 Application for Doctoral programs
  • If you attended or are attending a U.S. academic institution (including language programs) you must submit the ASU International Student Transfer Clearance Form

  • Submit an Original or a Notarized Financial/Bank Letter of Sponsor in English issued by a Bank or Financial Institution with the following amounts stated
2007-2008 Estimated Tuition, Fees, Room and Board, and Health Insurance
ESL Students $14,544.00
Undergraduate Students $15,986.00
Graduate Students $15,330.00

Conditional Admission to Graduate Programs – ONLY PREREQUISITES

  • Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded
  • Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA)
  • Proof of English Proficiency
    • Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 80% or above
    • TOEFL – Paper-Based 500 – (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • TOEFL – Computer-Based 173– (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • TOEFL – Internet-Based 61– (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • IELTS* – Academic  5.5- Official Score from the Testing Center
    • English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book
    • Completing required level of a CEA Accredited ESL program                   
    • Obtaining minimum 60% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, and Pakistan
    • High School Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand

In order to take any graduate level prerequisite course, student must meet the graduate school English proficiency requirement. 

Admission to GRADUATE Programs

  • Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded
  • Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA)
  • Proof of English Proficiency
    • Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 90% or above
    • TOEFL – Paper-Based 550 – (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • TOEFL – Computer-Based 213– (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • TOEFL – Internet-Based 79– (ASU’s Code:6011)
    • IELTS* – Academic 6.0.- Official Score from the Testing Center
    • English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book
    • Completing required level of a CEA Accredited ESL program                   
    • Obtaining minimum 65% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, and Pakistan
    • University Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
