Johnson is Commended by Professional Group

Tiffany Johnson, director, Career Services, has assumed office as president of the board of the Arkansas Association of Colleges and Employers (AACE). She served the past year as president-elect and conference chair. She also facilitated the young professionals panel at the AACE summer conference, facilitated a roundtable discussion on the future of AACE, and won the president's award for the second consecutive year.

Devereux is New Chair for Research Group Devereux is New Chair for Research Group

Emily Devereux, executive director, Research and Technology Transfer, chaired the National Council for University Research Administrators Region III annual conference in Hollywood Beach, Fla. She has recently moved from chair-elect to 2019-20 chair of Region III, which includes the 13 southeastern states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.  NCURA, the professional association for research administration, provides professional development activities and other services to members.

 
Brightwell is New Director of Bradbury Art Museum

The new director of Bradbury Art Museum is Jacqueline Brightwell, who began working at BAM in August 2013. One of her first projects was helping establish Bradbury Art Museum's visual identity; she was promoted to assistant director in 2017. Brightwell succeeds Les Christensen, who announced her retirement following a 21-year career with Arkansas State, including serving as BAM's founding director. Details are online.

Harrington Leads Roundtable on Social Media Harrington Leads Roundtable on Social Media

Jessica P. Harrington, assistant director, Career Services, co-presented a roundtable discussion on engaging students via social media during the Arkansas Association of Colleges and Employers (AACE) summer conference. Harrington, who will serve as board secretary during the 2019-20 year, also won the "helping hands" award and a social media contest. AACE includes college and university relations and career service professionals, human resources professionals, and others.

 
Stripling Makes Presentation at NASPA Conference

Dr. Rick Stripling, associate professor of college student personnel services and executive director, student affairs project, spoke at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) national conference in Los Angeles. The presentation was "Thriving in the Next Century: Using Strategic Enrollment Management to Admit, Retain and Matriculate Two-year, Four-year, and Graduate Students." NASPA selected Stripling's presentation to be included in its virtual ticket series.
