Description

The Radiologic Sciences Programs are administered by the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. The program is designed to produce Radiologic Science professionals who are clinically competent, advanced level radiologic sciences practitioners.

Available Emphases

The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences Programs offer the radiologic professional the baccalaureate degree in 6 majors.

  • Imaging Specialist

    The Imaging Specialist Major is designed to provide the student with the skills to become an advanced level technologist in: General Radiography, CT or Mammography.

  • Radiation Therapy

    The Radiation Therapy Major provides the student with the skills necessary to become a professional, entry level radiation therapist.

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography

    The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Major provides the student with the skills necessary to become a professional medical sonographer.

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology

    The Nuclear Medicine Technology Major provides the student with the skills necessary to become a professional nuclear medicine technologist.

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging

    The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Major provides the student with the skills necessary to become a professional MR Technologist.

  • Radiology Management

    The Radiology Management Major provides the student with the background knowledge and skills necessary to become a director of a radiology department in a hospital or imaging center.
