This certificate program is intended for individuals who already hold a degree in counseling or a related field. The purpose of the program is to allow individuals currently working in mental health settings to upgrade their knowledge and skills related to working with clinical populations; allow individuals who have already earned a degree with fewer than the required minimum hours for professional counseling licensure to add those hours; and/or allow individuals with a professional counselor license to add one or more specialization licenses available through the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling.
