Arkansas State University will remain closed Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 due to continuing inclement weather.
Final exams scheduled for Monday, December 9, 2013, will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the previously scheduled time.
Final exams that were scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2013, will be Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the previously scheduled time.
ASU Paragould will also be closed on Monday, Dec. 9 2013 due to inclement weather.
The following events have been cancelled or postponed.
While the University is closed for inclement weather, the Acansa Dining Hall hours will be from 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. All retail locations will be closed.
In response to the change of finals, the residence hall closing deadline of noon on Wednesday, Dec. 11, is extended until Friday, Dec. 13, at noon.

Dr. Glauco Ortolano has had a very successful career teaching ESL and other languages. He completed his Master’s and Doctoral studies at Brigham Young University and at the University of Texas at Austin, respectively. During his career of almost three decades, he has taught languages in several institutions in the United States, France, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, and Puerto Rico.
He is also known as “Dr. Bear”, a name of endearment he received while teaching in Asia. He loves to travel and he has been to 35 countries around the world, and 45 States in the US including Hawaii and Alaska. In his spare time he enjoys cinema, motorcycle riding, church activities and writing. Dr. Bear is the author of several books and articles published in several different languages.
