Biography

Dr. Catherine C. Reese is an Associate Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Political Science at Arkansas State University. She teaches public budgeting, public personnel management, and public policy courses, including several on the politics and popular culture of different decades. Her research interests include state-level public policy, human resource management, and budgeting and finance.

Articles by Dr. Reese have appeared in Public Administration Review, Public Budgeting & Finance, and Politics & Policy and she has a co-authored book chapter forthcoming in the third edition of Condrey's Handbook of Human Resource Management in Government. Her most recent public policy interests include the use of tobacco settlements by the states and the evaluation of gender pay initiatives implemented by the states. Dr. Reese is the 2009 recipient of the ASU Board of Trustees Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.
