Ms. Daughhetee has been an instructor for Arkansas State University since August, 2000. She grew up in Northeast Arkansas and has lived her most of her life. Ms. Daughhetee began her college career at ASU in Jonesboro in 1991, but a change in her husband's job led her to Texarkana, Texas. While there, she completed a B.S. in Psychology at Texas A&M-Texarkana in 1994. Ms. Daughhetee began a Masters program at Texas A&M-Texarkana in 1995, but her husband's job relocated him back to Northeast Arkansas. In 1996, she began a Master's in Sociology at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Upon completion of her degree in 2000, she joined the teaching staff in the CSG department. In the past ten years, Ms. Daughhetee has taught many classes in Sociology and Criminology for the CSG department.

Ms. Daughhetee is also a member of the ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug) Coalition of Lawrence County. This coalition works to help young children and young adults learn to make better decisions about drug and alcohol use. Ms. Daughhetee attends conferences, trainings, and Coalition meetings to learn better ways to serve her community in the battle for the youth against substance abuse.
