The graduate certificate in Health Communication is an interdisciplinary program that prepares health care providers and consumers to effectively meet the communicative demands of health care practice and to communicate with health care providers.  The program requires 18 hours of graduate-level courses and students can choose to focus the curriculum to meet personal or professional goals.

    Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School. To apply, obtain an application form from Graduate Admissions. Send completed application form, required application fee, and official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work to Graduate Admissions.

    The courses selected for the certifi cate in health communication are chosen for their applicability for individuals working in the health care industry and for consumers who wish to understand the role of communication in health care processes and outcomes.
