Guy Harrison is a recent addition to the music faculty at ASU. Originally from Australia, Guy is currently completing his Doctoral degree in Violin Performance at Michigan State University under the direction of Dr. Walter Verdehr. He holds degrees from the University of Adelaide (B.M - Honors), and Michigan State University (M.M).
Guy is in demand as a performer and has held positions as the Acting Concertmaster with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and Jackson Symphony Orchestras in Michigan and Principal 2nd Violin in the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra in Texas. Before moving to the USA Guy performed regularly with both the Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras. He has also performed with the South Bend, Saginaw, Traverse, Northwest Indiana and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestras. Guy has toured extensively in Australia, as well as to the USA, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, New Caledonia and Canada's Winterlude Festival.
Guy has taught in the Texas public school system and is very sought after as a violin and viola teacher and clinician.
