Biography

Caisa Sanburg is a graduate of Illinois State University, where she earned her MFA in Lighting Design, with a secondary emphasis in Sound Design. She received her B.S. in Mathematics from Colorado Mesa University in western Colorado, where she originally hails from. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a theatrical electrician at SeaWorld San Antonio. For several years, she was the lighting designer for the Midwest Institute of Opera in Illinois, designing Falstaff, Carmen, and Dialogues of the Carmelites, among many others. Additionally, she currently sound designs in the summer for Saint Michael's Playhouse in Vermont, including such shows as The 39 Steps and The Mountaintop

She is a proud alumna of the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Foundation and member of USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) and TSDCA (Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association).
