Biography

Ms. Nix has been a registered nurse for 23 years. She has worked in many health care arenas. She began her journey as an associate-degree nurse and worked for 3 years at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She returned to Jonesboro and pursued a bachelor's degree in nursing. She was employed employed by St. Bernard's Medical Center from 1990-2004 as the outpatient and inpatient Diabetes Educator and Enterostomal Therapist.

In 2004, after completing her MSN degree, she accepted a position as pre-tenured faculty in the BSN program at Arkansas State University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Public Health from Walden University.
