Join us as we explore the inherent value of the arts. Why are humans compelled to create art? We have cave paintings and fragments of musical instruments from more than 30,000 years ago, when prehistoric humans were presumably occupied with the sheer effort required to stay alive. Why did they spend time and energy creating art? This spring we will offer a public symposium on the inherent value of the arts.
The Fine Arts Center Gallery exhibits a wide range of original work. Student competitions are also exhibited here. The gallery is located in the College of Fine Arts.
Several of our courses include an opportunity to travel the world to experience historic art firsthand.
