Teaching has always been a passion for me. From teaching first grade to graduate students, I knew that education was my love and luckily it is my career. What a wonderful life when your passion and career are the same.

My education includes:
BA in Elementary Education from Harding University;
MSE in Elementary Education from The University of Mississippi; and
PhD from The University of Mississippi.

My goal in life is reflected in the children's book, Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney. The main character, Alice, continually says that in her lifetime she must do something to make the world a more beautiful place. Hopefully, I have accomplished this and will continue to do so throughout my life by making the world a more beautiful place for children.
