Biography

Loretta Brewer is a professor and the MSW Program Director. She received her BSW and MSW degrees from Western Michigan and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Prior to joining the ASU faculty in 2001, Dr. Loretta Brewer taught social work courses at Michigan State University and Western Michigan University while engaging in private practice. She has extensive direct practice experience in the fields of mental health and aging. In addition, she has conducted research projects addressing the topic of family care giving in southwestern Michigan, the Mississippi Delta region, and Okinawa, Japan.
