Dr. Angela Stone Schmidt is the Director of Graduate Programs in the School of Nursing, College of Nursing and Health Professions, at Arkansas State University. She previously taught at ASU for 18 years and returned in 2006. She has worked in hospital administration in Northeast Arkansas and Western Tennessee for a corporate owned, inpatient rehabilitation company. In addition, she has experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner practicing in Primary Care and Home Health. Dr. Schmidt has served as legal consultant and as a facility consultant in her areas of specialty, to include chronic care, geriatric care, rehabilitation, and nursing management/leadership. She has presented at local, national, and international conferences, and published within her areas of expertise. In addition, she had created and directed several community support groups, including those for populations of stroke, cancer and Alzhiemer Caregivers.
